A supporter’s matchday begins before kick-off and continues after the final whistle. There is the team you would select, the change you would make while watching, and the question of whether your reading of the game held up. Matchday Call brings those moments into one connected iPhone experience.

Matchday Call is now available free on the App Store for iPhone. It brings together four spaces: Matchday, Football, Rankings and My Record. Here is how they turn the football you follow into a matchday of your own.

Matchday starts with your Starting XI

Choose a fixture and start with the information available before the match. The selection brief and team news help frame your choices. Pick a formation, choose your starters and lock your Starting XI while the selection window is open. That creates a record of the side you wanted to send out at that point in time.

As more information arrives, compare your selection with the Terrace XI and the official team sheet. These offer different perspectives: your own picks, the supporter consensus and the team the manager actually names.

Read the game and call the change

During a supported live fixture, Matchday brings together the score, key moments, player performances and Match Pulse. Chances, pitch views and Attack Lab add context where coverage permits. The aim is to make it easier to understand what is happening before deciding what you would change.

Make a Call guides you through Diagnose, Act and Review. Identify the issue, choose a tactical response or substitution, check your decision and submit it while calls are accepted. Your call is recorded in the moment, ready to revisit as the match develops.

Return to your decisions after the whistle

The Matchday Review gives you a place to revisit your decisions against the available match evidence. Post-match player and manager ratings also let you compare your view with the Terrace. When your interview is ready, the Press Room continues the conversation about your matchday.

Review and sharing options depend on their readiness and your access. Final data can take time to arrive and be checked, so the final whistle does not guarantee an immediate completed assessment. Review statuses show when final data is still being checked.

Football keeps the wider game in view

Football connects your matchday to the competition and season around it. Its current tabs are Table, Fixtures, Teams, Leaders, Values and Transfer. Follow standings and schedules, explore teams and players, browse statistical leaders, and see available transfer and market-value information. Live tables and cup brackets appear where supported.

The Football hub also includes Team of the Matchweek, or Team of the Round for cups, where available. This is a separate vote for performers across a round. It gives you another way to take part beyond choosing a single fixture’s Starting XI.

Rankings and My Record grow with the evidence

Rankings offers Overall, Club and Competition views. My Record brings together your assessed calls, recent form, Decision Score, manager identity and achievements as the qualifying sample grows. An early record may still be forming; activity alone does not establish a ranked score.

Only settled calls with sufficient evidence contribute to ranked Decision Scores. A pending or limited-evidence call can remain part of your history without counting towards a ranking. This distinction helps keep the record tied to decisions the app can assess.
