Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the developer identified as Matchday Call on the applicable App Store product page (“Matchday Call”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). They apply to the Matchday Call mobile application, website, and related services (together, the “Service”).

By downloading, accessing, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live are not limited by these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to use an online service. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.

You may not use the Service if applicable law prohibits you from doing so, or if we previously terminated your access for a serious or repeated breach.

What Matchday Call provides

Matchday Call is an entertainment and supporter-engagement experience. It may let you select a starting XI, record tactical or substitution calls, compare your decisions with supporter consensus, receive post-match assessments, build a manager record, appear in rankings, and share a matchday review.

Matchday Call is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official service of any football club, league, competition, broadcaster, player, or governing body unless we expressly state otherwise. Club names, competition names, match information, and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners.

Guest use and accounts

You may browse available matchday and ranking experiences as a guest. Features that save, sync, publish, rank, or share your decisions may require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep sign-in credentials secure, and promptly tell us if you suspect unauthorised access.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Do not sell, transfer, rent, or share access to an account. We may ask you to verify ownership before making security-sensitive changes.

Account deletion

You can initiate deletion in the app under My Record → Settings → Account controls → Delete account. Deletion removes the account and associated personal data that we are not legally required to retain. Reauthentication or a confirmation step may be required to prevent accidental or unauthorised deletion.

Your decisions and content

You retain ownership of content you create, such as a display name, profile image, written response, lineup, tactical call, or matchday review (“User Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, and display User Content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the features you choose.

If you choose to publish or share User Content, you give other users permission to view it through the feature provided. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that it does not violate another person’s privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights.

We may remove, restrict, or preserve User Content when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or maintain the integrity of rankings and match assessments.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate, or expose personal information about another person;
• post unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, infringing, or abusive content;
• manipulate rankings, create fraudulent activity, automate calls, coordinate cheating, or bypass eligibility or timing controls;
• reverse engineer, scrape, probe, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service, except where law expressly permits;
• use the Service or its data for gambling, odds-making, unlawful surveillance, resale, or an unauthorised commercial product;
• introduce malware or misuse another person’s account, device, credentials, or content.

Our licence to you

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial use. The licence also permits use by accounts associated with an eligible purchaser through Apple Family Sharing or volume purchasing where Apple’s rules allow it.

The Service, including its software, design, branding, scoring presentation, text, graphics, and original content, is owned by or licensed to Matchday Call and protected by intellectual property law. No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.

Match data, scoring, and availability

Match events, timings, lineups, and assessments may be delayed, corrected, incomplete, or unavailable. Provisional scores and rankings may change when data is settled, errors are corrected, suspicious activity is reviewed, or a result is revoked. We do not guarantee that every match, club, league, feature, or historical record will always be available.

We may update, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service for maintenance, security, legal, commercial, or technical reasons. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of a material discontinuation.

Purchases and subscriptions

The current release does not offer paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. If paid features are introduced, the price, billing period, renewal terms, and cancellation method will be shown before purchase. Purchases made through Apple are processed under Apple’s payment and subscription terms, and Apple—not Matchday Call—controls App Store billing and refunds except where law requires otherwise.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account as described above. We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, manipulated the competition, or threatened the security or integrity of the Service.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, licences already needed to host shared content, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—will continue to apply.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free data, any particular ranking or score, or that the Service will meet every requirement. Nothing excludes warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Matchday Call is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses; loss of data, opportunity, goodwill, or profits; or loss arising from reliance on match data, rankings, or supporter assessments. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service during the preceding 12 months or USD $100, unless applicable law requires a higher amount.

Legal compliance and disputes

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not listed on a United States Government prohibited or restricted-party list.

These Terms are governed by the law of the developer’s registered jurisdiction, excluding conflict-of-law principles, except that mandatory consumer protections and rights in your place of residence continue to apply. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

Additional Apple App Store terms

If you download the app from Apple’s App Store, you and Matchday Call acknowledge and agree that:

• these Terms are between you and Matchday Call, not Apple; Matchday Call is solely responsible for the app and its content;
• your licence is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as allowed by the Apple Media Services Terms and applicable Usage Rules;
• Matchday Call, not Apple, is responsible for maintenance, support, warranties, product claims, legal compliance, consumer protection, privacy claims, and intellectual-property claims relating to the app;
• if the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation;
• you must comply with applicable third-party agreements when using the app, including your mobile network and internet service terms;
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-specific provisions against you.

Where Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies, it remains part of your licence and these Terms supplement it. If there is a conflict concerning App Store usage rules, Apple’s applicable terms control.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security practices, or business operations. We will post the revised Terms and update the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where reasonably required. Continued use after the new Terms take effect means you accept them.
